I'm Chris Love, Director and Owner of Mortgage Simplicity Ltd.

I have worked in the financial services sector for over ten years with Building Societies, High Street Banks and Life Assurance Companies. In 2004 when Mortgages became regulated by the FSA I decided that I could no longer work for a high street bank selling the same old stale products and over priced insurance policies to loyal and trusting customers. I decided that all consumers could and should be better served by financial services companies and I set about creating my own business.

The benefit of receiving advice is more than the saving one can make, not many people understand that regulated and insured advice gives customers more protection than simply buying of the shelf. If you receive advice for a product and it fails to cover you, you are protected. If you buy a product off the shelf and it doesn't cover you for what you expected, it is your responsibility for not reading and understanding the terms and conditions. This is why companies use comparison sites as they are cheaper for regulation and in most cases offer poor products at cheaper prices. The same rule of thumb applies to Life Assurance, Mortgages and other financial products that high street banks and building societies sell. Anyone can show a cheap price but the true value is hard to measure, this is where independent and unbiased advice comes in.

In the market place of today we have comparison sites, high street banks and building societies. I have managed to keep ahead of my competitors by setting up relationships with the best players in the industry to give my customers access to the cheapest and best products available. Recently our Home and Contents Insurance partners have delivered record results, simply by having excellent products and a promise to guarantee that they will beat any price, even the comparison sites.
